Pumpkin Harvest - Day 3.

Day 3 was spent cutting all remaining 18 pumpkins from the patch... My Mom came over to help so Hubby could continue to work on latest un-named project. (Will blog on that soon) Once the pumpkins were removed, we broke down the plot saver fencing addition and got the patch back to its original perimeters. (And so we could re-claim our driveway!) We also had to pull all the long running vines up where they had run out of the patch and throw them back into patch for Hubby to till up later. 18 pumpkins pulled... 18 to wash, weigh, number and log. Long evening working until after dark!

It's like a boot camp workout farm style hauling these 25+ pounders out of the patch!

First bucket load to the barn!

Getting load number two ready to haul back to the barn!

Ready to start washing and weighing!

Setting part of them up for folks to come by and select their pumpkin later in the week. Side note: All pumpkins were reserved for purchase within two days after I posted a photo of the first five harvested on facebook!
